How many cards per question?

The 3-Card Rule: Each question in The Oracle of Success must be explored through three Oracle cards. This rule ensures deeper insight, richer discussion, and a better understanding of the situation.

Here’s how it works:

After drawing a Category card, the player asks a clear, focused question that matches the theme (e.g., a question about love if the category is Love and Relationships).

The player then draws the first Oracle card and hands it to their chosen Oracle (another player) to read aloud.

After the card is read, the group reacts, discusses the message, and helps the player refine or reframe the question.

Only then does the player draw the second card, again handing it to the Oracle for interpretation.

This process repeats once more for the third and final card.

By the end of the round, the player will have asked:

Their original question,

A follow-up or clarified version,

A final, deeper or more specific version.

This three-card structure helps uncover surprising truths, hidden motivations, or different angles on a situation. It also makes sure no one rushes to conclusions — each question becomes a shared journey through conversation.

There are no shortcuts: one question = three cards = one complete reading.
